Session 1 – What is surveying and what opportunities can it bring in future?

The session was introduced by the Mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz OBE with the panel discussion chaired by Howard de Walden Estate Chief Executive, Andrew Hynard, who is also a UCEM Trustee. The presenters were: former Head of the Commercial Office Business at Landlease, Sherin Aminossehe; Apprentice Surveyor for CBRE Valuation and Advisory Services, Jessica Austin; and Sovereign Housing’s Head of Property Asset Management, Jesse Meek.

Session 2 – What does sustainability mean to the Built Environment?

The session was introduced by UCEM Principal, Ashley Wheaton, with the panel discussion chaired by the Head of Marketing and Communications UK for BNP Paribas Real Estate, Misa von Tunzelman, who like Andrew Hynard, is a UCEM Trustee. The presenters were: Friends of the Earth Chief Executive, Craig Bennett; The Prince’s Foundation Senior Director, Ben Bolgar; and Hammerson Plc Group Head of Sustainability, Louise Ellison.

Session 3 – Where next for the Built Environment?

The final panel discussion was chaired by UCEM Principal, Ashley Wheaton, and featured presentations by: CBRE’s Head of Strategic Advisory, Amanda Clack; Cast Founding Director and CEO, Mark Farmer; LIQUID Real Estate Innovation and Alpha Property Insight CEO, Dan Hughes; and Bionic City Founder and Futurist, Melissa Sterry.
