UCEM utilises a service called UK NARIC to determine the equivalency of international qualifications. UK NARIC is the National Agency responsible for providing information, advice and opinion on vocational, academic and professional skills and qualifications from all over the world. As the National Agency, managed on behalf of the UK Government, they provide the only official source of information on international education and training systems and wide-ranging international qualifications and skills attained from outside the UK.

FAQs

Find out more

Can I get a VISA?

Our programmes are delivered 100% online so there is no need to travel to the UK to be able to study with us. You can study from wherever you are in the world. You will be invited to attend your graduation ceremony in Reading, UK upon successful completion of your course.

What are the fees for international students?

As all of our programmes are fully online, our programme fees are the same for students whether they are UK based or international. Please refer to relevant programme page to find the correct fee.

How can I fund my programme?

We have flexible payment options allowing you to choose whether you want to pay your fees upfront for the semester, the year or in five monthly installments for each semester. The majority of our students, study part time whilst working allowing them to offset the cost of their fees against their salary. We also offer some bursaries and scholarships that support students in studying with us, please visit financial support to find out more.

Do I meet your entry requirements?

The entry requirements for each programme are listed on the programme page and under the entry requirements section on this page. Our programmes are taught in English so you will need to meet the English language requirements.  Once you have submitted an application we can assess your qualifications, for international applicants we use a service called UK NARIC to determine the equivalency of international qualifications.

Is an online degree from UCEM the same as a degree from a face to face university?

Yes, UCEM were awarded Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) in 2012 which were then renewed in 2018. This allows us to validate and award our own degrees just like any other university. We have the same resources as a traditional university, we just deliver them in a different way to our students. Many employers recognise the dedication and time management that studying online whilst also working requires and will value these attributes.
