The Student Engagement Team are the primary source of student support and are a student’s first point of contact, acting as a triage point for a range of support services available across the institution. We provide clear, helpful, and tailored information, advice, and guidance (IAG) throughout the student journey. To achieve this, we work collaboratively with other teams across UCEM and act with the best interests of students in mind. Our mission is to improve student satisfaction by providing a knowledgeable, accessible, and friendly support service underpinning student success throughout their studies.

That we work very much as a team, we share ideas, experiences and support each other.
What is the impact of your team’s work?
Students use our advice and guidance to successfully complete their studies alongside, most often, working and caring for their friends and families.
What’s your favourite thing about working for UCEM?
I love being a part of UCEM’s graduation ceremonies. It’s fantastic to see all the hard work of our students and staff come to fruition!
