Share your success with UCEM’s inaugural Graduate Celebration Week!

Posted on: 8 July, 2020

Have you completed your studies with us but not been able to attend one of our Graduation ceremonies?

Whether you were intending to join us at Reading Town Hall in June or this December before the pandemic forced us to postpone or simply were unable to make a previous ceremony, 7-11 September, 2020 is a week devoted to you!

We want to hear your stories of success and share them on our website and social media channels to celebrate our global network of alumni as part of our inaugural Graduate Celebration Week!

UCEM Graduation Officer, Pru Sly, commented: “Like so many events, this year’s Graduation ceremonies fell victim to the worldwide pandemic but our desire to celebrate our graduates’ achievements is unwavering!

“Graduate Celebration Week is for those who missed out on their Graduation experience this year, as well as those who have not attended their ceremony in previous years. As an online university catering for students across the world, we recognise that many graduates are unable to travel to the UK for Graduation so this celebration is as much for them as it is for those who would have attended this year.

“I look forward to seeing photos and videos from our graduates all around the world and joining in the celebrations online!”

If you would like to be recognised during Graduate Celebration Week, please email press@ucem.ac.uk with your name, year of graduation and programme studied, and either:

  • 150 words on what graduating means to you with a high-res (above 1MB) professional photo;
  • A short video explaining your thoughts on completing your studies with us.

We recommend that if creating a video that you send the file via WeTransfer.

* Please note that Graduate Celebration Week is not taking the place of our usual Graduation ceremonies and we are doing all we can to prepare for another fantastic occasion at Reading Town Hall at a later date!
