The UCEM alumni team have allocated 20 tickets, exclusively for alumni, to attend the Property People’s Network (PPN) Architecture Tour at the Tate Modern on Thursday 11 May from 2pm.
The tour which will last approximately 90 minutes and is eligible for CPD will include a history of Tate Modern, the building and architectural highlights and features of the gallery. The Tate Modern is now the world’s most popular museum of modern and contemporary art, attracting around 5 million visitors each year. Bankside Power station was built 1947 and 1963 and was designed by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. In 2000 it became Tate Modern and in June 2016 architects Herzog & de Meuron completed a new extension with 60% more display space to this iconic building.
